Hydroponics systems

Planting without soil is hydroponics. Stripping away soil and providing all the essentials that plants require, like water, nutrients, minerals and of course sunlight, the plant will be able to grow to its full potential. Faster, better growth and better yields are usually experienced by farmers who switched from normal soil farmer to hydroponics.

In a hydroponics system, a conscious effort to ensure that the essentials are given to the plant in a consistent manner must be made. Hence nutrient level and pH is monitored regularly to ensure optimal absorption of nutrients by the plants. This involves inert medium like Rockwool, perlite, vermiculite, coconut fiber, gravel etc. to support the plant.

Is setting a hydroponics farm or system easy? The answer is easy. However, failure of the system always occurs when hydroponics farm or system owners do not have the know how to manage the system. There are many factors that affect the system only through actual implementation and managing of the operations.
